HR and Admin Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR and Admin Manager to lead the human resources function for a hospital in Accra. The role combines strategic HR planning with day‑to‑day administration, ensuring the organization attracts, develops and retains the right talent.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior management on all HR matters and policy decisions.
• Lead recruitment, selection and placement of qualified staff for the hospital.
• Design, implement and continuously improve HR systems and strategies to maximise employee potential.
• Provide guidance to departmental heads on HR issues and ensure consistent policy application.
• Supervise the rollout of HR policies and monitor compliance across all units.
• Develop and maintain a human‑resource information system for secure employee data storage and retrieval.
• Assign duties, monitor team performance and ensure standards are met.
• Identify training needs, organise appropriate learning programmes and assess their impact.
• Conduct performance assessments and manage disciplinary actions in line with company procedures.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a hospital or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of modern HR roles and best practices.
• Assertive communication with the ability to articulate policies and decisions.
• High level of trustworthiness, integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with staff at all organisational levels.
• Knowledge of hospital operations is a plus.
