Human and Asset Resource Manager

About the role

The Human and Asset Resource Manager will lead all human‑resource functions while overseeing the tracking, utilisation and reporting of company assets for a pharmaceutical manufacturing firm in Accra. The role ensures HR practices and asset management align with business goals and strict regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute recruitment strategies for technical and non‑technical positions, manage end‑to‑end hiring, onboarding and succession planning.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions and workplace conflicts in compliance with Ghanaian labour law.
• Develop performance appraisal systems, set KPIs and monitor employee productivity, compliance and efficiency.
• Identify skill gaps, coordinate training programmes and build partnerships with universities and professional bodies.
• Maintain HR policies, employee records and ensure audit readiness for Labour Act, FDA, WHO and GMP requirements.
• Oversee asset tracking, utilisation, maintenance and reporting, implementing digital tools to improve resource allocation.
• Provide workforce data and strategic advice to senior management on planning, development and performance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or related field.
• 5–7 years progressive HR management experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare or manufacturing.
• Professional HR certification (CIPD, SHRM, IHRMP) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labour legislation and WHO/GMP regulatory requirements.
