Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Officer to join our team in Accra. You will support all HR functions, ensuring smooth attendance tracking, payroll processing, and talent acquisition in a fast‑moving retail and FMCG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Track employee attendance, leave balances and overtime, and produce monthly attendance reports.
• Manage end‑to‑end onboarding and off‑boarding, including offer letters, orientation, system setup, exit interviews and final settlements.
• Draft, review and renew employment contracts in compliance with Ghanaian labour laws and maintain up‑to‑date personnel files.
• Validate payroll inputs, collaborate with finance to ensure accurate and timely salary disbursement.
• Lead full‑cycle recruitment: create job postings, screen CVs, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks and issue offer letters.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of HR experience, preferably in retail or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian labour legislation, statutory deductions (SSNIT, PAYE) and contract standards.
• High integrity, excellent communication and organisational abilities, and the capacity to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for attendance and payroll data processing.
