ICT Teacher – Secondary School (Cambridge Curriculum)

About the role

Brainy Bairn School is seeking a qualified ICT Teacher for its secondary department. The role involves delivering the Cambridge ICT syllabus to students aged 11‑18, preparing them for CAIE examinations and supporting their overall development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess ICT lessons for a range of ages and abilities, using a variety of learning resources and ICT equipment.
• Mark work, provide feedback and maintain records of pupil progress in line with national curriculum standards.
• Develop and update curriculum materials, including termly schemes of work and medium‑term plans.
• Prepare students for external examinations and support them in achieving qualification targets.
• Manage classroom behaviour and undertake pastoral duties such as form‑tutor responsibilities.
• Communicate with parents, collaborate with learning mentors, career advisers and other professionals.
• Lead extracurricular ICT activities and contribute to school‑wide training events.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of teaching or related experience, preferably with the Cambridge International curriculum.
• Honours degree in ICT (or related field) from a recognised university; additional teaching qualification is desirable.
• Ability to teach A‑Level IT and potentially other subjects in humanities, science or mathematics.
• Strong commitment to child‑centred education and a collaborative team approach.
