Maintenance Planner – Mining Equipment

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Maintenance Planner to lead the planning and scheduling of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for surface and underground mining equipment. The role ensures high machine availability, minimizes downtime and supports safe, cost‑effective maintenance execution in our Tarkwa, Ghana operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate maintenance activities across drilling rigs, trucks, loaders and other mining equipment.
• Develop detailed work orders including labor, materials, tools and safety requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyse maintenance trends and drive reliability improvements.
• Coordinate shutdowns and inspections to reduce operational impact.
• Ensure spare parts and resources are available before scheduled work.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and report key performance indicators.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of mining equipment such as drilling rigs, trucks and loaders.
• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret maintenance data.
• Proven problem‑solving and leadership capabilities in a maintenance environment.
