Senior Maintenance Supervisor – Mining Operations

About the role

Lead the MARC Daily Operations team in delivering maintenance services for heavy‑duty earthmoving, mining and construction machinery at the Goldfields Tarkwa & Damang sites. The role ensures adherence to maintenance plans, drives a strong health, safety and environmental culture and provides training, motivation and supervision to the technical workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, repair and service on‑site equipment proactively, aiming for 80 % of downtime to be planned.
• Coordinate and drive cooperation among PM, Field, Workshop, Electrical and Welding maintenance teams.
• Assign expatriate staff to operational areas to improve efficiency, supervision and quality through training.
• Enforce company safety procedures, participate in monthly safety meetings and ensure injury rates stay below industry standards.
• Maintain 100 % compliance with the Mantrac Quality System and oversee quality checks on all repairs before release.
• Provide data analysis, report outcomes and support continuous improvement of the fleet planning process.
• Ensure accurate daily downtime reporting and warranty claim processing for covered parts.

Required profile

• BSc/BTech/HND in Engineering or related field and Ghana Minerals Commission Certificate of Competency (Inspection Engineer).
• Minimum 5 years experience with heavy‑duty earthmoving, mining and construction machinery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong technical aptitude and good time‑management skills.
• Proficient IT skills and ability to work in noisy, dusty environments, including weekends and holidays.
