Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the plant maintenance team to ensure that production equipment, machinery, utilities and facilities operate safely, reliably and efficiently. This role coordinates preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance while supporting safety, quality and reliability objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily maintenance activities, prioritising jobs based on production needs, equipment condition and safety.
• Lead the equipment lubrication programme and ensure all machinery is lubricated according to schedules and OEM recommendations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance execution, calibration activities and spare‑parts management, raising purchase requisitions in SAP as required.
• Supervise, coach and review maintenance technicians, providing performance feedback and fostering technical development.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical breakdowns, prepare breakdown reports and conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring failures.
• Maintain documentation of maintenance records, duty logs and ensure compliance with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant maintenance experience, preferably in an FMCG manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP).
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using SAP for purchase requisitions and maintenance tracking.
