M&E Specialist, Cocoa Supply Chain

About the role

The Rainforest Alliance is seeking an M&E Specialist to lead monitoring and evaluation activities across its cocoa supply‑chain project. The role supports a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating regenerative transitions for cocoa producers in multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage implementation of the supply‑chain M&E project, including planning, execution, data analysis, quality assurance and stakeholder coordination.
• Develop and oversee detailed workplans, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Lead a small team of staff and consultants across Africa and Latin America, coordinating field data‑collection campaigns in four or more countries.
• Coordinate internally with Rainforest Alliance data teams, thematic experts, finance and regional staff, as well as externally with partners and service providers.
• Maintain relationships with the private‑sector partner, M&E service providers and other key stakeholders.
• Oversee budget planning and execution to ensure financial accountability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within agricultural or supply‑chain contexts.
• Strong project‑management background with a track record of leading multi‑country initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams, including field enumerators and regional staff.
• Excellent analytical skills and experience delivering high‑quality M&E reports.
