Mechanical Engineer – Product Development

About the role

We are seeking a creative Mechanical Engineer to lead product development from concept through to final commissioning. You will be responsible for designing and fabricating innovative mechanical components that meet high standards of performance, reliability, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full product lifecycle: design, prototype, test, manufacture and implementation.
• Create outline designs and detailed engineering drawings.
• Conduct systematic experiments, analyse data and interpret results.
• Test and evaluate theoretical designs, proposing improvements.
• Identify problems, develop effective solutions, and modify designs to eliminate malfunctions.
• Estimate project budgets and scopes.
• Gather feedback from operators and incorporate it into product refinements.
• Prepare comprehensive product reports and documentation.
