About the role
The Ghana Railway Development Authority seeks four Mechanical Technicians to service, repair and maintain the mechanical systems of locomotives. The role involves ensuring reliable operation of engines, braking systems and other critical components across the railway network.
Key responsibilities
- Service locomotive engines, braking systems, couplers and mechanical components.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities on railway equipment.
- Assist with breakdown response, equipment testing and repair works.
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment and maintenance records accurately.
Required profile
- Technician Part 3 Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years industrial experience in locomotive or heavy‑equipment maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities, able to work under pressure.
