Medical Doctor – Accra

About the role

Lapaz Community Hospital is seeking qualified Medical Doctors to join its clinical team in Accra. The successful candidates will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, ensuring high standards of diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up within a busy public‑health environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to deliver coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and emergency response as required.

Required profile

• Hold an MB ChB or equivalent medical degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years post‑qualification experience as a Medical Doctor.
• Registered and in good standing with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hospital setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in clinical assessment and patient management.
• Knowledge of Ghanaian health regulations and hospital protocols.
