About the role
The laboratory is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diagnostic investigations in line with established Standard Operating Procedures. The role involves handling patient specimens, operating analytical equipment, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, verify, label, process and prepare patient specimens for analysis.
- Perform laboratory investigations according to approved SOPs.
- Operate, clean, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
- Support continuous quality‑improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
- Accurately record, verify and report laboratory results within established turnaround times.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Science.
- Successful completion of National Service (NSS).
- Residence within or around Osu, Nima, Circle, Accra, Sankara or nearby communities.
Required skills
- Operate laboratory equipment.
- Calibrate laboratory instruments.
- Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order.
