Microfinance Officer – Rural Banking

About the role

Suma Rural Bank PLC is seeking motivated Microfinance Officers to support its rural and community banking operations. The role involves delivering micro‑finance services, building client relationships, and contributing to the bank’s financial inclusion goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and process micro‑finance loan applications from individuals and small enterprises.
• Conduct credit analyses and risk assessments in line with bank policies.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Promote bank products and services within the local community.
• Monitor loan performance and support repayment collections.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Management, Marketing or a related discipline (preferred but not mandatory).
• Level 3 professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, ACIB, ICSA or CIM (UK).
• Relevant experience in rural or community banking environments.
