NOC & IT Support Engineer - Ghana

About the role

Based in our Ghana office, the NOC & IT Support Engineer will manage local IT infrastructure, provide first‑ and second‑line support to staff, and ensure the security and reliability of our network and data. The role also monitors the health of mobile and web applications across all markets, handling alerts, incidents, and third‑party escalations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain servers, networks, and endpoint devices for the Ghana office.
• Deliver first‑ and second‑line technical support to all Ghana‑based employees, meeting SLA targets.
• Implement and test network security, data backup, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Deploy and manage enterprise software, user accounts, and access permissions.
• Support audio/video conferencing and collaboration tools.
• Monitor application performance using observability platforms and respond to alerts.
• Investigate incidents with logs, metrics, and distributed traces, working with development teams.
• Maintain API integrations, track uptime and error rates, and escalate anomalies.
• Collaborate with the NOC Manager on system monitoring, runbooks, and incident documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and liaise with cross‑market IT teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or NOC operations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across time zones.

Required skills

• LAN/WAN networking.
• Windows and Linux server administration.
• Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services.
• Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Datadog or Zabbix.
• Experience with REST APIs and API monitoring.
• Incident response and NOC runbook management.
• Audio/video conferencing and collaboration tools.
