Operations Manager

About the role

The client is an international industrial group seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own operational performance in a key country. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate all operational streams and ensure safety, service levels, costs and inventory meet corporate goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound flows, customs procedures and forwarder relationships to ensure timely, compliant release of goods.
• Lead warehouse operations, stock management and inventory accuracy with full lot traceability.
• Plan and supervise production, blending and packaging to meet schedules, quality standards and cost objectives.
• Organise outbound transport, monitor service performance and resolve issues with the sales team.
• Maintain facilities, equipment and utilities through preventive and corrective maintenance programmes.
• Build, manage and track operating and investment budgets.
• Own HSE and quality performance, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and local regulations.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors and operational staff, applying company policies consistently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, anticipate operational risks and support new business projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• 5‑7 years of management experience in operations, supply chain, logistics or manufacturing within an international organisation.
• Background in agribusiness, chemicals or another regulated industrial sector is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record managing budgets, leading change and running multi‑site operations.
• Well‑organized, dependable leader with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of import operations, warehousing, production, distribution and inventory control.
• Solid command of HSE, risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with maintenance of industrial sites and equipment.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methods such as Lean and Six Sigma.
