Paramedic / Emergency Medical Technician – Accra

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Paramedic / Emergency Medical Technician to join the new Bank Hospital in Accra. The successful candidate will respond to emergency calls, provide on‑site medical care, and transport patients safely to the hospital while ensuring high standards of patient care and equipment readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency medical calls and assess patient conditions promptly.
• Provide first‑aid, administer medication, pain relief, and intravenous infusions.
• Operate life‑support equipment such as bag‑valve‑mask resuscitators, external defibrillators, and ECG monitors.
• Drive the ambulance to the scene and to the hospital while monitoring patient status.
• Document patient injuries, treatments, and hand‑over information to receiving physicians.
• Maintain and decontaminate ambulance and medical equipment.
• Prepare and submit accurate incident reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in paramedical science or equivalent medical training.
• At least one year of experience as a paramedic or EMT.
• Valid EMT‑P certification/EMS license and CPR certification.
• Clean driving record complying with safety policies.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
