Partnerships Officer – Resource Mobilization

About the role

The Regional Office for Africa (RAF) of FAO is seeking a senior Partnerships Officer to lead resource mobilisation and partnership development across the region. Based in Accra, Ghana, you will support FAO’s strategic framework (2021‑2030) by strengthening collaborations with non‑state actors, private sector entities, UN agencies and inter‑governmental organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement partnership strategies with NGOs, private sector and IGOs to advance food security, agriculture and rural development.
• Provide policy advice and share best practices on transformative partnerships.
• Monitor and report on partnership performance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Increase South‑South and triangular cooperation and expand knowledge networks.
• Oversee the application of FAO’s strategies for civil‑society and private‑sector engagement at regional and national levels.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (minimum 7 years) in partnership development, resource mobilisation or related fields.
• Strong understanding of FAO’s mandate, strategic framework and regional priorities.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including NGOs, private sector and inter‑governmental bodies.
