People Operations Officer

About the role

Silverbird Cinemas is looking for a People Operations Officer to join its HR team in Accra Mall. You will support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to engagement, ensuring smooth HR operations in a fast‑moving entertainment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment and selection, including hiring new employees.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation of new staff.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee records.
• Respond to employee enquiries and provide HR support.
• Assist with employee performance management processes.
• Coordinate staff training and development programmes.
• Ensure compliance with company HR policies and labour laws.
• Process and monitor payroll information in collaboration with the payroll team.
• Manage employee leave records and attendance tracking.
• Organise employee engagement activities and staff events.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain HR documentation.
• Perform other HR‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in HR or administration, preferably in retail, hospitality or entertainment.
• Good knowledge of HR policies and labour regulations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to work in a team environment.
