Planning Officer – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

Nexans Kabelmetal Ghana, a leading cable manufacturer, is seeking a Planning Officer to manage work‑in‑process (WIP) and support production planning. The role is critical for maintaining productivity and meeting operational targets in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory of work‑in‑process (WIP) items.
• Update production data in the ERP system.
• Transfer finished goods from production to the finished‑goods store.
• Coordinate data for SQDCE meetings.
• Create and maintain production master data, including items, bills of materials (BOMs) and routings.
• Conduct regular stock‑taking activities.
• Assist with weekly production planning in the supervisor’s absence.

Required profile

• Degree in supply chain management or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning or inventory management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Team‑management and interpersonal abilities.
• Problem‑solving aptitude and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Functional knowledge of the Manufacturing module in an ERP system.
• Inventory management expertise.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
