Poultry Farm Manager

About the role

The Farm Manager will lead daily operations of a poultry farm, ensuring optimal production, animal health, and bio‑security standards. This role reports to senior management and works closely with veterinary and finance teams to meet production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage feed, vaccines, medications and other farm inputs.
• Supervise and train farm workers, enforcing operational procedures.
• Oversee day‑to‑day poultry activities including brooding, feeding, vaccination and growth monitoring.
• Maintain strict bio‑security and hygiene standards across the farm.
• Monitor bird health, detect early disease signs and coordinate veterinary interventions.
• Keep accurate records of production, mortality, feed consumption and sales.
• Manage inventory, budgeting, cost control and reporting.
• Collaborate with management to achieve production targets and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Agriculture, Animal Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a poultry farm (layers or broilers).
• Strong knowledge of poultry production, disease control and farm management.
• Ability to work independently and handle farm emergencies.
• Good leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
