About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a highly qualified Professor to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The role involves leading teaching, research, and community service activities within one of the department options, such as Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervise student projects.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognized journals.
• Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior faculty.
• Engage in community service and contribute to faculty development initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or at least three years as Associate Professor with a minimum of fifteen peer‑reviewed publications.
• Evidence of scholarly impact and teaching excellence.
