About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified Professor to join its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The position is open to candidates wishing to contribute to teaching, research, and community service in one of the department areas such as Mobile and Pervasive Computing, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
• Supervise student research projects and theses.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in recognized journals.
• Engage in community service and outreach activities.
• Participate in faculty development and university governance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
• Current appointment as Professor at a recognized university, or an Associate Professor with at least three years of experience seeking promotion.
• Minimum of fifteen publications in recognized academic journals.
• Three referees with full contact details.
• Evidence of academic leadership and contribution to the field.
