Program Lead – Aya Fellowship (6‑month consultancy)

About the role

The Aya Fellowship Program Lead will translate the Fellowship’s vision into an operational reality over a six‑month on‑site consultancy in Accra. You will design the program architecture, curriculum delivery plan and execution calendar, while building the core operational infrastructure for the inaugural cohort.

Key responsibilities

• Design systems, structures and delivery frameworks required to launch and sustain the Fellowship.
• Develop recruitment, selection, onboarding and progression pathways for the first cohort.
• Coordinate mentors, facilitators and partner organisations, establishing clear roles and communication channels.
• Identify funding opportunities, create collateral (concept note, pitch deck, one‑pager) and submit grant applications.
• Document all processes and recommend a staffing and operating model for long‑term continuity.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in program management, organisational development or leadership development, preferably within fellowships, NGOs or social‑impact organisations.
• Proven ability to design and implement operational systems from scratch.
• Strong track record coordinating multi‑stakeholder programmes, including partners, mentors and volunteers.
• Experience in grant writing and fundraising, with successful funding applications.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Familiarity with the West or East African youth development ecosystem is an advantage.
• Ability to work onsite in a dynamic, mission‑driven environment.
