Project Engineer – Solar Power Solutions

About the role

Daystar Power Group is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the installation, commissioning and operation of large‑scale solar sites in Accra and the surrounding region. Reporting to the Head of Installation, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality standards and with high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans for solar power contracts.
• Design and plan solar installations, including PV inverter layout.
• Manage the supply chain, sourcing and ordering components locally and internationally.
• Conduct quality assurance and HSE inspections on all technical installations.
• Direct, coordinate and supervise field installation teams and technical partners.
• Train clients on system operation and optimal utilization.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures and HSE standards for solar work.
• Monitor industry trends and support market research for new projects in Ghana.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical or solar engineering projects.
• Professional engineering registration (e.g., GhIE, IET‑GH) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
