Project Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Mowlem Group is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Project Quantity Surveyor to join its Operations Team in Tema, Ghana. You will work on major road, bridge and concrete construction projects, influencing profitability and delivery through expert cost management.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to discuss project requirements and commercial terms.
• Participate in feasibility studies, site surveys and cost estimations.
• Prepare contract documents, generate BOQs from drawings and compile RFQ packages for subcontractors.
• Allocate, review and monitor subcontractor progress and valuations.
• Identify commercial risks, develop mitigation solutions and analyse cost variances.
• Prepare cost reports, payment applications, claims and invoices, and follow up for approvals.
• Liaise with clients, representatives and third parties on variations, claims and additional payments.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and ensure internal commercial processes are adhered to.

Required profile

• Ambitious, commercially focused professional with experience in large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, project managers and international stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail in cost control and contract administration.
