Regional Sales Manager

About the role

Olam Agri is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead profitable growth of its rice portfolio across the assigned region. The role focuses on building strong distribution channels, expanding the distributor network, optimizing pricing, and accelerating market penetration while ensuring alignment with retailer and partner objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve regional sales targets for volume, value, and margins.
• Drive secondary sales and offtake while meeting retailer/partner service level agreements.
• Identify growth opportunities across geographies and expand outlet coverage and category penetration.
• Execute competitive pricing strategies, track price realization, schemes, and discounts, and benchmark against competitors.
• Appoint, develop, and manage distributors to maximize ROI, working capital, and service levels.
• Ensure compliance, reporting discipline, and strengthen value‑vs‑branded positioning.
• Align with supply, sourcing, quality, and global marketing teams.
• Lead, coach, and motivate sales teams, set KPIs, and review performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales management within FMCG, agriculture, or related sectors.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with supply, sourcing, quality, and marketing teams.
• Deep understanding of regional market dynamics and distributor networks.
