About the role

The Registrar serves as the Chief Operating Officer under the Vice‑Chancellor, overseeing the day‑to‑day administration of Koforidua Technical University. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Registrar ensures smooth operation of all statutory bodies and provides strategic advice to the Vice‑Chancellor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily administrative functions across the university.
• Act as Secretary to the University Council, Boards, and statutory committees.
• Provide strategic briefings and advice to the Vice‑Chancellor.
• Lead and coordinate administrative teams to deliver efficient services.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and national higher‑education regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Administration, Management or a related field.
• Minimum six years’ experience as Deputy Registrar or in a comparable senior administrative role within a university or similar institution.
• Strong understanding of Ghana’s higher‑education landscape.
• Demonstrated integrity, public morality, and ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Information Communication and Technology (ICT) systems relevant to university administration.
