Registrar – Senior University Administrator

About the role

The Registrar serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Koforidua Technical University, reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor. This senior position oversees the day‑to‑day administration of the university and acts as the Secretary to the Council, Boards, and statutory committees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all operational and administrative functions of the university.
• Serve as Secretary to the University Council, Boards, and statutory committees.
• Provide strategic advice and briefings to the Vice Chancellor.
• Lead and coordinate administrative activities across multiple departments.
• Ensure compliance with university policies, regulations, and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in Administration, Management or a related field.
• At least six (6) years of experience as Deputy Registrar or in a comparable senior administrative role within a university or similar institution.
• Deep understanding of the higher‑education landscape in Ghana.
• Demonstrated public morality, integrity, and ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) systems used in university administration.
