Remote C# Software Engineer (Contractor)

About the role

We are building large‑language‑model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets focused on realistic software engineering problems. As a Remote C# Software Engineer you will help create verifiable software engineering tasks from public GitHub repositories and assess LLM performance on bug‑fixing scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open‑source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup.
• Evaluate unit test coverage and quality.
• Modify and run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug‑fixing scenarios.
• Collaborate with researchers to design challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
• Lead junior engineers on project tasks and ensure delivery quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional software engineering experience.
• Tech‑lead level experience or equivalent leadership responsibilities.
• Strong familiarity with high‑quality public GitHub repositories.
• Ability to navigate and understand complex codebases.
• Comfortable running, modifying, and testing real‑world projects locally.
• Experience contributing to or evaluating open‑source projects is a plus.
