About the role
We are building large‑language‑model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets focused on realistic software engineering problems. As a Remote Software Engineer (Go), you will work at the intersection of practical software development and AI research, helping to create verifiable SWE tasks from public repository histories.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open‑source libraries.
- Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment provisioning.
- Evaluate unit‑test coverage and overall code quality.
- Modify and run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug‑fixing scenarios.
- Collaborate with researchers to identify challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
- Lead junior engineers on project tasks when needed.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 + years of professional software engineering experience.
- Tech‑lead level competence with a strong understanding of public GitHub repositories.
- Ability to navigate, run, and test complex codebases locally.
- Experience contributing to or evaluating open‑source projects is a plus.
Required skills
- Go programming language.
- Git version control.
- Docker containerization.
