Remote Software Engineer (Go/Golang)

About the role

Turing is seeking experienced software engineers at a tech‑lead level to help build high‑quality LLM evaluation and training datasets. You will work remotely on real‑world open‑source codebases, bridging practical software engineering with cutting‑edge AI research.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open‑source libraries.
• Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment provisioning.
• Evaluate unit‑test coverage and overall code quality.
• Modify and run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug‑fixing scenarios.
• Collaborate with researchers to identify challenging repositories and issues for LLM evaluation.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers on project tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Go (Golang) and familiarity with high‑quality public GitHub repositories.
• Proficiency with Git, Docker, and basic software pipeline setup.
• Ability to navigate and understand complex codebases and run them locally.
• Experience contributing to or evaluating open‑source projects is a plus.
