Risk Analyst Officer

About the role

A Ghanaian-based cement manufacturing company is looking for a detail-oriented, organized Risk Analyst Officer to join its team in Tema. The role identifies and manages risks across the organization and works closely with the Head of Internal Control.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Monitor and analyze risk indicators, reporting deviations or emerging risks
• Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures
• Coordinate with departments so risk controls are applied effectively
• Carry out internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management controls
• Keep up to date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Maintain records of all transactional vouchers and verify that they relate only to company business
• Periodically visit stores to check items supplied and carry out market vetting and price verification
• Communicate with the Head of Internal Control about control gaps and breaches of policy, and follow any additional duties assigned by management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or MSc in a related field
• Proven experience as a Risk Officer/Analyst or in a similar role, with a minimum of 5-8 years
• Certifications such as FRM or PRM are a plus
