Room Attendant – Housekeeping (Accra, Ghana)

About the role

The hotel is looking for a dedicated Room Attendant to join its Housekeeping & Laundry team in Accra. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, corridors, and public areas, ensuring a high standard of comfort for all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean assigned guest rooms to hotel standards, including bed making, dusting, replenishing supplies, bathroom cleaning and carpet vacuuming.
• Inspect rooms for any maintenance issues and report them to the Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, floor public areas, equipment and pantry spaces.
• Provide turn‑down service and attend to late‑check‑out requests as needed.
• Answer guest questions courteously and refer requests to the appropriate department.
• Record relevant information on assignment sheets and report special situations at the end of each shift.
• Handle lost‑and‑found items in coordination with the Order Taker.

Required profile

• High School or Vocational School Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a five‑star hotel.
• Physical ability to clean up to 15 rooms per day, push/pull a service cart and perform repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules and ability to work independently while meeting performance standards.
