Sales Executive – Heavy Machinery

About the role

The Sales Executive will work under the Sales Director to drive growth of truck, heavy‑duty equipment and machinery sales for SMT Ghana. You will develop new business, nurture existing client relationships and ensure high‑quality service throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell trucks, heavy equipment, machinery, spare parts and related services across assigned territories.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads and maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, quotations and proposals; negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Build long‑term relationships with customers, provide technical and commercial guidance, and address inquiries promptly.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, follow‑up on payments and support debt recovery.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, seminars and promotional events.
• Produce regular sales activity reports and keep customer records up to date.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the Sales Director and meet sales targets.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region for customer visits and events.
