Sales Executive – Leisure & Corporate Accounts

About the role

The Sales Executive will manage leisure, corporate and group accounts for Kempinski Hotels in the Accra & Tema region. Working closely with the Director of Sales, the role focuses on driving revenue through existing clientele and new prospects, both locally and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and solicit new customers while maintaining regular contact with existing accounts via phone, email and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Set up appointments, conduct telemarketing, site inspections and personal sales calls for corporate and commercial accounts.
• Negotiate offers and contracts for individual and group bookings, and follow up on lost business to gather market intelligence.
• Monitor sales results, propose corrective actions and contribute to the development of promotional themes and special packages.
• Entertain client decision‑makers in the hotel’s F&B outlets and participate in promotional activities.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date customer database (SFA) and generate weekly activity reports for the Sales Director.
• Visit assigned accounts at least twice a year and ensure cross‑selling of other Kempinski properties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum two years of sales experience, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in a multinational setting.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and handle pressure with proactive solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Micros Fidelio, Opera and Sales & Catering systems.
• Familiarity with customer database (SFA) tools for tracking sales activities.
