Sales Executive - Steel Industry

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive growth of the company’s steel and building‑material portfolio across Accra, Tema and surrounding construction sites. You will develop new client relationships, expand existing accounts and ensure the company’s products reach hardware dealers, contractors and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with construction firms, hardware shops, distributors and contractors.
• Promote and sell iron rods, nails, binding wires, steel products and related building materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, contractors and key industry stakeholders.
• Conduct regular market visits, prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales deals.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Follow up on orders, deliveries and payment collections, and prepare sales and market intelligence reports.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely product delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum HND or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales or related field.
• 2–5 years proven sales experience in building materials, steel products or related industrial goods.
• Strong understanding of the Ghanaian construction and building‑materials market.
• Existing network with hardware dealers, contractors, distributors or construction firms is a strong advantage.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Field‑oriented and comfortable with extensive market visits.
