Security Investigations Coordinator

About the role

The Security Investigations Coordinator supports the Security Superintendent in investigating security incidents, conducting assessments, and ensuring compliance with AngloGold Ashanti’s global security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate all reported security incidents in line with AGA Global Security Standards.
• Coordinate security assessments (self, threat, risk, and conflict) and maintain an intelligence function for early warning of threats.
• Screen and verify background of employees and contractors on the mine.
• Conduct VPSHR training and coordinate Human Rights Ambassadors activities.
• Maintain investigative statistics and a comprehensive case management system.
• Participate in departmental budgeting and identify cost‑saving initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environment procedures.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary or professional security qualification and a first‑degree.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum three years of practical experience in industrial security, including senior supervisory roles.
• Proven experience in investigation techniques, statement taking, interviewing, and report writing.
• Experience delivering security training, handling tender openings, and capturing incident data in SEMS.
• Working knowledge of Ghana’s criminal justice system and data protection laws.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
