Security Supervisor

About the role

The Security Supervisor will lead the day‑to‑day security operations for a leading pharmaceutical company in Ghana, based at the Accra office and overseeing activities at the Tema site. This hands‑on role ensures a safe environment for staff, visitors, and company assets.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and manage security officers across shifts, ensuring required staffing levels.
• Report all security incidents, crimes, or suspicious activities promptly to the Head of Security.
• Prepare duty rosters, maintain records, and obtain approval from senior security leadership.
• Conduct on‑the‑job training for new officers and provide site orientations for visitors and staff.
• Perform regular inner and outer perimeter patrols, inspect procedures, and identify security breaches.
• Supervise searches, seizures, and investigations of unauthorized removal of company property.
• Lead emergency evacuations and coordinate response actions.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, and restricted‑access areas, safeguarding keys and access credentials.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Security, Safety, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a comparable security supervisory role.
• Strong reporting, documentation, and incident‑management skills.
• Ability to enforce discipline, maintain high standards, and work under pressure.
