Senior Accounting Officer

About the role

As a Senior Accounting Officer at Shalina Healthcare, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, compliance and timeliness of the company’s financial records and reporting. You will lead financial reporting, ledger analysis, internal controls and audit readiness while driving continuous improvement of accounting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and support management reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, review journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
• Conduct internal audits, identify control gaps and track implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure statutory compliance with Ghanaian tax and regulatory requirements, including VAT, PAYE and corporate tax filings.
• Assist the Finance Manager with external audit coordination and stakeholder liaison with banks and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor and review the work of junior finance team members and support budgeting, cash‑flow and ERP implementation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA Ghana, CIMA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and statutory reporting requirements.
