Senior Assistant Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Assistant Internal Auditor will support the Internal Auditor in overseeing the internal audit function of Koforidua Technical University, ensuring compliance with the Technical University Act and related financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Internal Auditor in managing the audit office and coordinating audit activities across the university.
• Support audit planning, execution, and reporting for financial operations.
• Prepare and review position papers, value‑added reports, and memoranda for external assessors.
• Maintain and update accounting and auditing software systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant with a research Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least six (6) years of experience as an Assistant Internal Auditor in a university or comparable institution.
• Analytical, critical‑thinking and result‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, supervisory and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting/auditing software applications.
• Strong IT and computer literacy.
