About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) invites applications for a Senior Lecturer position within its Faculty of Computing and Information Systems. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, supervising students, conducting research, and contributing to community service and faculty development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in the chosen department.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Develop and update curricula and course materials.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish in recognized journals.
• Participate in community outreach, consultancy, and professional service.
• Contribute to departmental and faculty development initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, ICT).
• Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Lecturer at a recognized university.
• At least six (6) publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Previous appointment as Senior Lecturer at a comparable institution, or eligibility for promotion through GCTU’s process.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
