Senior Partnership Manager – Ghana

About the role
The Ghana Partnership Lead will build and manage the partnerships and coalition that underpin Terraformation’s Ghana Country Platform for forest restoration. Working closely with the Forestry Commission and Terraformation’s technical experts, the role will drive three priority workstreams supporting Ghana’s 2040 Forest Landscape Restoration Strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement across government, civil society, research institutions, funders and the private sector, establishing governance, work plans and partner commitments.
- Coordinate the Seed Supply Capacity Enhancement workstream, including participatory assessments of the seed‑to‑forest supply chain and support for seed production, storage and nurseries.
- Oversee the Governance, Finance & Community of Practice workstream, studying financial flows, facilitating a community of practice and supporting coordinated action for the 2040 Strategy.
- Manage the Strengthening Restoration Monitoring workstream, developing national monitoring systems, protocols and data‑sharing mechanisms.
- Deliver the Seed to Forest Accelerator by assessing capacity needs and providing targeted training, tools and technical assistance to local organisations, communities, women and youth.
- Coordinate foundation grant implementation, ensuring alignment of activities, budgets, timelines and donor reporting.
- Represent Terraformation in national forums and provide regular updates on partnerships, risks and progress.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, coalition‑building, public policy, international development, conservation or related fields.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior government officials, NGOs, community organisations, donors and private‑sector partners.
- Deep understanding of Ghana’s institutional, political and socioeconomic context.
- Experience designing or facilitating multi‑stakeholder platforms, sector coalitions or public‑private partnerships.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, conflict‑resolution and diplomatic skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; proficiency in Ghanaian languages preferred.
- Willingness to travel within Ghana up to 25% of the time.
