Senior Telecom Services Consultant

About the role

The Senior Telecom Services Consultant will lead the planning, execution and delivery of MTN telecommunications projects across Accra and Tema. This contractor role requires overseeing large‑scale infrastructure deployments, ensuring compliance with technical standards and driving project performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, implementation and delivery of MTN telecom projects.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, deliverables and resource allocation.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, construction, operations and vendor teams.
• Ensure adherence to project governance, methodologies and reporting requirements.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee telecom site deployment, upgrades, modernization and optimization.
• Monitor civil, electrical and telecom works to meet MTN technical standards.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, vendors and regulatory authorities.
• Facilitate project meetings, provide progress updates and resolve issues.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality compliance through site inspections and audits.
• Prepare status reports, dashboards and performance metrics, tracking costs and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Minimum 10‑15 years of experience in telecom service delivery.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting mobile network operators, preferably MTN or other Tier‑1 operators.
• Demonstrated experience in telecom site rollout, network deployment, transmission, power systems or tower infrastructure.
• Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in multi‑vendor and cross‑functional project environments.
