SHEQ Advisor – Safety, Health, Environment & Quality

About the role

Helios Towers is seeking a proactive SHEQ Advisor to lead the implementation of its Safety, Health, Environment and Quality strategy across operations and supply‑chain partners in Accra, Ghana. You will act as a key influence, ensuring risk management, continuous improvement and compliance with SHEQ standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the rollout of the Helios Towers SHEQ strategy across the operating company and its supply‑chain partners.
• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing SHEQ policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments, site and office inspections, and identify operational risks.
• Report non‑conformities, drive corrective actions and improve safety and quality performance.
• Maintain SHEQ reporting, data management and document control for accuracy and compliance.
• Facilitate compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Lead investigations, audits, root‑cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
• Support delivery and tracking of SHEQ training programmes across operations.
• Implement group SHEQ initiatives and campaigns.

Required profile

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (or equivalent).
• IRCA Approved Lead Auditor Training (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a SHEQ‑related role within maintenance or construction environments.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation and engaging with partners and contractors.
• Strong understanding of SHEQ principles, risk management and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
