Software Quality Assurance (QA) Intern

About the role

The QA Intern will support Cornerstone in delivering reliable fintech software by testing new features, identifying defects early, and ensuring transactions, balances, and messages behave as expected. You will collaborate with frontend and backend engineers across web apps, dashboards, and USSD/WhatsApp flows using test environments only.

Key responsibilities

• Write test cases and checklists from product requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Perform manual testing of web, mobile, USSD, and WhatsApp flows in test environments.
• Test edge cases such as failed payments, timeouts, duplicate submissions, and incorrect inputs.
• Document clear, reproducible bug reports and verify fixes.
• Run regression checks before releases and help build automated tests for APIs and user interfaces.
• Test across devices, browsers, and network conditions.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of how web applications and APIs work.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Clear written communication for bug reports.
• Familiarity with Git or willingness to learn.
• Curiosity about how things break and how to prevent it.
