Stores Assistant – Logistics & Inventory Management

About the role

The Stores Assistant will support the Stores Officer in ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective daily store operations. Responsibilities cover receiving, storing and disbursing commodities, as well as protecting inventory and assets for Marie Stopes International Ghana.

Key responsibilities

• Support management of all commodities, materials, contraceptives, medical instruments and supplies (drugs and non‑drugs) in the store.
• Check and receive items, ensuring proper storage conditions.
• Assist with routine commodity supply to centres and outreach sites.
• Process receipts, issues, returns and adjustments after appropriate authorisation.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies for disposal of expired, obsolete or unserviceable items.
• Conduct routine and spot stock counts at various MSI centres and outreach locations.

Required profile

• HND in stores management, accounting or a related field (ACCA Part I or END in Accountancy is an advantage).
• Minimum two years post‑qualification practical experience in a similar role.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Ability to work independently, manage pressure and maintain accuracy.
