Sustainability Data Project Manager

About the role

Earthworm is seeking a Sustainability Data Project Manager (Solution Architect) to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of data solutions that support sustainable agriculture, forestry, and rural development initiatives worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and translate the data needs of internal teams into clear technical requirements.
• Create, implement, review, and enhance internal data processes, including structure, handling, and quality controls.
• Develop data solutions for new commodities, products, or services, both internal and external.
• Design and implement dashboards to visualize data and guide decision‑making.
• Explore innovative, data‑driven approaches to improve data collection and management.
• Support teams with data analysis to enable evidence‑based decisions.
• Lead data projects such as database implementations, continuous improvement of the Starling platform, and global work‑process reviews.
• Manage relationships with external partners delivering data solutions.

Required profile

• Passion for agriculture, social science, rural development, forestry, and conservation.
• Meticulous, detail‑oriented, with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Analytical background focused on building reliable data‑management tools.
• Self‑starter, independent, curious, and eager to learn from others.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to facilitate sessions with diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment, willing to ask questions and ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Creative, out‑of‑the‑box thinker capable of designing innovative data‑driven solutions, templates, tools, dashboards, and presentations.
• Strong project‑management capabilities.
