About the role

Join Orica as a Talent Acquisition Specialist and help shape the future of talent across Africa. Based in Accra, Ghana, you will partner with business leaders and hiring managers to attract, assess, and secure exceptional talent for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and hiring managers to develop talent acquisition strategies that support workforce planning and growth.
• Act as a trusted talent advisor, providing market insights and building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Develop and execute sourcing and attraction strategies using talent mapping, LinkedIn Recruiter, AI‑enabled tools and market intelligence.
• Identify, engage and secure high‑quality active and passive talent across multiple African markets.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from sourcing and assessment through offer negotiation and pre‑employment checks.
• Promote Orica’s employer brand and Employee Value Proposition through targeted attraction initiatives.
• Utilise recruitment technology, analytics and market data to improve hiring outcomes and support data‑driven decision making.
• Partner with HR and cross‑functional stakeholders to support workforce planning and recruitment delivery.
• Contribute to regional talent programmes and strategic initiatives, including graduate, intern, trainee and early‑career recruitment.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment across multiple functions, workforce segments and geographic markets.
• Strong understanding of African labour markets and experience recruiting across several countries.
• Demonstrated success recruiting blue‑collar, technical and professional talent.
• Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders and operate within a complex matrix organisation.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions.

Required skills

• Advanced sourcing methodologies such as Boolean search, LinkedIn sourcing and talent mapping.
• Use of AI‑enabled recruitment tools.
• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment analytics.
