Tool Store Clerk

About the role

The Tool Store Clerk supports daily tool booking, issuance and return processes for workshop and field repairs. The role ensures tools are accurately recorded in the Tool Management System and maintains proper storage conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supplying tools for workshop and field repairs as requested.
• Enter booked‑out tools into the Tool Management System and record requisitions.
• Re‑enter returned tools into the system and place them in their designated locations.
• Monitor outstanding tool returns and maintain a register or system alerts.
• Report any tool loss or damage using the appropriate forms.
• Engrave tools with location or toolbox numbers and receive new tools into the system.
• Support annual tool store and toolbox audits and maintain store housekeeping.

Required profile

• Minimum MET/MVT/EET – Intermediate qualification.
• At least one year of post‑qualification experience in basic inventory control storekeeping.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a noisy, dusty environment and flexible to work longer hours, weekends and holidays.
