About the role
The Transport Officer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of vehicle fleets, coordinating schedules, and maintaining compliance with safety and legal standards. This role supports both administrative and driving tasks as needed to keep transport activities running efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and enforce transport schedules and timetables.
- Assign drivers and monitor vehicle utilisation.
- Ensure vehicles meet required safety and legal standards.
- Oversee licensing, insurance, and maintenance compliance.
- Monitor and report driver issues, including accidents and safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate vehicle log books and transport records.
- Provide ad‑hoc driving and administrative support when required.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of experience in a transport or related role.
- Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
